The five pillars of teaching and learning from the document are:

4. **Practice**: Teachers create regular opportunities for students to practice, apply, and consolidate their understanding during the lesson. This may involve answering an exam question, solving problems, carrying out an experiment, writing an essay, or performing a skill in a practical subject.

5. **Feedback**: Teachers provide regular, timely feedback both during lessons and through written feedback. Feedback focuses on how well students are progressing, addresses misconceptions, and gives clear guidance on how to develop further.
