What I can do

You can create lesson plans using a structured approach based on the Five Pillars from the Outwood Grange Academies Trust. Here is how you can incorporate each pillar into a lesson plan:

### Lesson Plan Structure

#### Clarity of Learning Intentions
- **Objective:** Clearly outline what students are expected to learn and why it is important.
- **Activities:** Begin by presenting the lesson objectives and how it fits into the subject's learning journey.

#### Re-cap and Recall
- **Objective:** Reinforce prior knowledge to build a connection with new information.
- **Activities:** Use techniques such as quick quizzes, discussion prompts, or recaps of key facts from previous lessons to refresh students' memories【4:0†source】.

#### New Information
- **Objective:** Introduce and explain new concepts or skills.
- **Activities:** Use a variety of methods including lectures, demonstrations, or interactive activities that clearly model the new learning tied to the initial lesson question【4:8†source】.

#### Practice
- **Objective:** Provide students with the opportunity to apply and consolidate their understanding.
- **Activities:** Allow students to engage with the material by solving problems, completing experiments, writing essays, or performing practical skills【4:8†source】.

#### Feedback
- **Objective:** Support students’ progress through timely and targeted feedback.
- **Activities:** Deliver verbal or written feedback during tasks and set aside time for Student Response Time (SRT) where students actively engage with the feedback to improve their understanding【4:8†source】.

This framework helps ensure that lessons are effective and that students are active participants in their learning process.
