What I can do

The Five Pillars of Teaching and Learning approach outlined in the file focuses on enhancing effective teaching and supporting students' learning and self-regulation. These pillars are:

1. **Clarity of Learning Intentions**: Teachers clearly share with students what they are learning in their lessons and why. They review subject learning journeys with their students.
2. **Re-cap and Recall**: Regular review of prior learning to ensure students remember key information from previous lessons【4:0†source】.
3. **New Information**: Clear introduction and modeling of new learning in lessons. This involves linking the new information to the topic question shared at the start of the lesson.
4. **Practice**: Opportunities are provided to practice and consolidate understanding through activities such as answering questions, solving problems, writing essays, or performing skills【4:8†source】.
5. **Feedback**: Regular, timely feedback is given during lessons and in written form. This feedback addresses how well students are doing, corrects misconceptions, and provides guidance for further development【4:8†source】.

These pillars aim to create an effective learning environment where students are encouraged to be active partners in their education.
